Normally I have something I think would be good to sell and the time of year is coming up when it would sell well and then there is a school trip and I have to think of a special packed lunch for it, someone comes round for tea and there is something which needs a screw. (I said some THING! not some builder .) Then before I know it, the time has passed and I have not sold my thing on Ebay. But this time I have managed to get Piglet's pristine and barely used Halloween costume from last year sold at a good price, well in time to post off for the Day of the Dead. (No, I am really not into that sort of thing but if you ask nicely I will look around for a story to review on my other blog.)

There are two walnut trees by the library and I found this year’s first walnut on the path there the other day. I love to go and pick them up, they are not dry like the walnuts you get in shops but crunchy. And they’re free! I ate the walnut with banana, figs and yoghurt and a drizzling of honey.

The Baron's Lunch is Sent Packing

'Kay yah, there was a time I used to always make the Baron a packed lunch. 'N my friends on and off line were all like, "WTF! You are up to your eyeballs in cooking breakfast, hanging out the laundry, getting Piglet dressed and her dinner money counted out. You do not need to be making a sandwich every day as well! Tell him to do it himself."

Yah, yah, that is very rational and sensible. Totally Enlightenment. And of course the reasons I was making the packed lunch were totally MILFy and nonsense. But the reason I gave it up in the end was not because I did not really have time. I am a Noodle Mom. I will cook food for anyone who wants it as long as there are hours in the day.

The Catalian Job

OK, major military exercise in hand. The Whore of Catylon is going in for her Operation today. 

This means she has been allowed NO food since 8 pm last night. You can only imagine the tortures experienced by a Noodle Mom forbidden to feed some hungry being. "It is for your own good! (sniff)" 

Our new kitten is going in too, to be immunised. They get on very nicely together. When there were four rambunctious kittens, Lakhi often lay about at a higher level watching them in a weary way. Now there is just the one, she has remembered she is a young feisty feline and she hides behind the armchairs then leaps out on Eowyn, who springs up in the air with all her fluffy kitten fur standing up on end.

This Little MILF Went to London

I let Piglet fill her own water bottle for synchronised swimming, and failed to check the cap was tightly screwed on. So my sox for my friend James got soaking wet and I had to rush round at the last minute to find another pair to amuse myself with on the trip to London. Swiss Army wife gave me this delightful book on socks which is full of historical detail and patterns. (Yes I am going to knit the embroidered woollen stockings .)

Oh, I do love to be beside the seaside! Actually I do. Every year a friend kindly lets us use his caravan by the beach. I cannot reveal the location as the Welsh tourist board spend millions trying to persuade people that Wales is a land of sheep and green hills, solely in order that lots and lots of tourists don't rush to our beautiful beaches and coastal villages and make it as crowded as Cornwall.
